actually have to hold one in my hand and see it before I get too far, but it
looks appealing. And I did find a free SSH tool for Blackberry which would
meet my needs (midpssh I believe). So for this week, I'm leaning towards a
blackberry, but I'm going to have to wait and see. I want to check out a
Motorola Q too.

Many thanks for all who responded about this and the email question too. It
probably wasn't too hard to figure out that I got a new job where I likely
won't be able to check my personal email, so I'm looking at different
options available.

Barring unforeseen circumstances, my commute to Lake County will shortly
cease, and will instead work in a cube farm just off the Union Station
tracks.
