Hello all,

The next NPOTechs (http://www.npotechs.org) meeting is almost upon us.

When: 6:30 PM-9:00 (ish) Thursday April 17, 2003

Where: KOREAN AMERICAN COMMUNITY SERVICES, 4300 NORTH CALIFORNIA AVE
(100 Feet south of the intersection of Montrose and California Ave a map is
on the website). Ample free parking across the street (feel free to
bring your bike inside).

What: Our coolest topic yet! Paul Smith of the Center for Neighborhood
Technology http://cnt.org will be speaking about CNT's roll out of community
based Wi-Fi in Chicago's Pilsen and Elgin communities. According to Paul this
project is already under way and working well. The project uses Linux based
mesh Wi-Fi. Take a look at our archives for a fuller run-down
http://www.npotechs.org/pipermail/techtalk/2003-March/000561.html
Paul is going to bring an example of one of his Linux powered AP's for show
and tell.

Tell a buddy, bring a friend.

John

It's hard to believe how sick of war we used to be. We used to boast of how
small our Army and Navy were, and how little influence our generals and
admirals had in Washington. We used to call armaments manufacturers
"Merchants of Death."

Can you imagine that?
