I did from about 2002 - 2004 and was quite happy with it until the
speed was killing me.  I think SPAM started filling up the pipe.

Also, many ISPs were blocking mail sent from a DSL/cable modem.  So, I
stopped.

I too, now have a Linode.  It's nice.
