Yep.  My previous job was obtained via a recruiter.  She
called me up shortly after I started my previous-previous
job (which lasted 6 months), and said it was "perfect." 
Once the 6-month gig ended (hated the company, among other
things), she called me back (they keep people on 6-month,
1-year, and 2-year timers) and asked if I was still
interested.  I said "yes" and got the job.  It wasn't
perfect, but pretty damn good anyway.

Alas, I've forgotten the recruiter's name, and she was in
DC anyway.
