Brian Sobolak said this (probably recently):
> If you haven't read any Paul Graham essays, I'd highly recommend doing so.
> He has a great book on O'Reilly titled "Hackers And Painters", but you
> can read most of the essays online too.
He's a very intelligent person and very eloquent, but he should stick
to topics he knows best.... like LISP.
Here's some reference material...
http://www.idlewords.com/2005/04/dabblers_and_blowhards.htm ...and
here's a very special excerpt from the reference material:
>> It's surprisingly hard to pin Paul Graham down on the nature of the
>> special bond he thinks hobbyist programmers and painters share. In
>> his essays he tends to flit from metaphor to metaphor like a
>> butterfly, never pausing long enough to for a suspicious reader to
>> catch up with his chloroform jar.
Be sure to read the footnotes.
