This is perhaps a bit introductory for many on this list, but I'm sure
you have friends who need some hand holding or evangelism. Now is the
time! :-)

(Please also forward to the WCLUG and NOPTechs lists, which I am not on.
  Thanks.)

It's on the website http://linux.depaul.edu so it should be safe for me
to point out that this Saturday (October 23rd) is our newly created
Linux Expo!

Where: LPC Student Center 314A
When: 2pm - 11pm Saturday October 23rd, 2004
Who: Anyone and Everyone is invited

We'll have free food, free talks and free software.

We'll have free talks on:

     * GNU and GPL: What the heck do they mean?
     * Linux Architecture: What makes it so much better?
     * Intro to the Linux Desktop
     * Intro to Linux Games (Yes! They do exist)
     * Equivalent Applications: The only thing we can't replace is
spyware

It's a free event and we'll basically have a number of distributions on
display showing off their awesomeness. If you don't have your own
system yet, then this is a perfect chance for you to learn which
distribution would be right for you!

"If nature has made any one thing less susceptible than all others of
exclusive property, it is the action of the thinking power called an
idea, which an individual may exclusively possess as long as he keeps it
to himself; but the moment it is divulged, it forces itself into the
possession of every one, and the receiver cannot dispossess himself of
it." -- Thomas Jefferson
