[UFO Chicago] NPOTechs meeting thurs 10/16

Hello all,

The next NPOTechs (http://www.npotechs.org) meeting is almost upon us. 

When: 7:00 PM-9:00 (ish) Thursday October 16, 2003

What: Mike McCune on introducing Gnu/Linux and open-source to young people 
through Tech37 ( http://www.afterschoolmatters.org/static/tech37.html )

Mike has started just such a program and  will be highlighting the application 
process for becoming a contractor with Chicago's After School Matters 
( http://www.afterschoolmatters.org/GetInvolved/Become_An_Instructor.htm )
Applications are being accepted by ASM during the month of October.

Don't miss it!

Where:  KOREAN AMERICAN COMMUNITY SERVICES, 4300 NORTH CALIFORNIA AVE
(100 Feet south of the intersection of Montrose and California Ave a map
is on our website). 

Ample free parking across the street (feel free to bring your  bike inside).

***Because we are meeting this week, I wanted to remind everybody that there 
is not (and never is) a Wednesday Linux class on the week of a meeting: i.e 
no class this week, so come see us at the meeting  :-)
