[UFO Chicago] To the person wanting to buy a notebook

I would assume any battery on a used notebook is DOA or on its last legs, and
research the price of a new one before buying it, factoring the price of the
battery into the purchase.

NB, if you trust them, some places will supply a new battery with the
computer. That just means THEY added in the price of the new battery. I'm thinking
when IBM sells refurbished units, they do that, probably other manufacturers
too. Also, if some seller has 50 of the same unit for sale, it probably means
some large company replaced all their units at one time, and maybe there will
be some life left in the battery.
