Flame wars are quite uncool, but anything "free" or "GNU" or "linux" IS
waaayyy cool and must be loved by all.

I have not been to one yet either, but see no reason to phear it or
anybody at one. Chatting is not scary. Mailing list are not scary. The
dark is not scary either.
