FLYNN, LINUXIA. (TN) Citizens of Flynn are celebrating Mailman Day for
the first time in decades, thanks to the demise of the old regime
which shunned Mailman Day as needlessly bourgeois and hopelessly tied
to the Vatican.
It was in 1998 when the coup d'etat overthrew then-ruling Roger
Mailman VIII in favor of Generalissimo Rigoberto Oswaldo Lothario, who
immediately ceased the traditional celebration on the first day of
every month. Rigoberto continued to use the beauracracy instituted by
Mailman even though he refused to pay homage to it. In fact, it was
this hypocrisy that eventually fueled the peasant revolt that
reinstated Roger Mailman VIII, who has been in exile on Christmas
Island. Generalissimo Rigoberto is believed to have fled and is
seeking asylum in Albania.
