While it's not free (it's "better than free"), take a look
at Big Brother for systems monitoring.  I've used it
before, and have had *excellent* results with it.

The licesning is a bit unique.  Basically, if you use it to
monitor computers that *directly* generate income (like a
cash register, or credit card system), or if you charge
people for the service of monitoring, then you need a
commercial license.  Commercial licenses are also pretty
cheap, so far as things like this go.
