[pocket-linux] Beta testers wanted for GRUB boot disk instructions

Hi Dave To clarify matters.In suse8.2 the root
console will revert to the host system if it can.A
concrete example of this is the following which helped
me to clarify how this happened.
cd into ~/staging. do 'ls' and it will show the
directories created.do 'cd' into /dev and do 'ls'
again : output is some 2000 files from the host
system,and nothing from ~/staging/dev. Now look at 7th
chapter of PL. Cd into ~/staging: chmod xxx /bin/su.
You think that this is a clear command.It has two
solutions and the system carried both of them out: one
in the root and the second in the staging.Both of them
can be reffered to as /bin/su.If on the other hand we
have chmod xxx ~/staging/bin/su which is what you have
done in chapter 8,that is clear.No more ambiguity.
No worries though, I can check most of the permission
from the mandrakes.There is some difference but not
too much.
