GRUB has some nice features and is easier to build from source than LILO 
in my opinion.  It would not be terribly hard to do both in the guide, 
but I do think it would be confusing.  Too many conditionals like, "if 
you're using LILO, do this, but if your using GRUB do that," would be 
hard to follow.
