[pocket-linux] lilo error

I had that same problem.  I think I found a work around to it.    Try the following steps:
 
- mount the floppy
- make any changes to the floppy (ie lilo.conf, etc)
- umount the floppy
- sync
- mount the floppy using the full context of the mount command
     (mount /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy)
- run the lilo command
- umount the drive
- sync
 
this should work.

Compiled the kernel successfully

when I tried to do /sbin/lilo -r /mnt/floppy

open /dev/fd0 : permission denied

am logged in as root, mount shows

/dev/fd0 on /mnt/floppy ext2 (rw,nosuid,nodev)

What is wrong, can anyone troubleshoot?
