to ever come out to a meeting... I can refute someone's earlier
comment about the relevancy of Linux, and although just bringing it up
should be enough, I'll elaborate; I don't see Solaris or BSD running
on many mobile devices for one. The reason why TLI and other
implementations are lacking in Linux is due to the lack of developer
support, but that's just one element. I guess it's also because people
like you would rather use Solaris or BSD. <br>
<br>I don't know a lot about Solaris or BSD, so I'd be interested to
konw why I should use it over Linux. When I'm using linux, I do often
feel like I'm doing QA... I'll give you that. Especially when working
with multiple JVM's or messing around with window managers.<br>
<br>It's also noteworthy at this point, that I'm not defending Linux or
attacking Unix. I'm unopinionated enough to use whatever the next best

Also, don't let any facade of eloquence fool you--it's all for show, I promise. At least, it was when I was still going to meetings (I moved away from Chicago about 2 years ago).<br>

</div>Don't be. The meetings are about as informal as possible, and still be called "meeting." New people are always welcome, and it's good for the regulars to have someone new to talk to.<br>
