Sway is probably a good next step. GNOME on Ubuntu was reasonable (not
great) but it's really slow on Fedora. And I didn't click with Ubuntu,
so I'll see about switching to Sway, or just wiping and starting over
with one of the Fedora Sway setups they have.

Not especially. There's nothing about GNOME that is really grabbing onto
me, so I can try something else.
