Esteemed Colleagues:

Although I missed last month's meeting because I was overseas, I shall
regretfully not be attending this month's meeting either.  I was
in the middle of updating my unattended Slackware system when my
laptop lost power, and now I cannot boot it.  I can know no peace
until I repair it, so I have to work on that today.  I hope to see you
all next month.
