Esteemed Colleagues,

I will not attend tonight's meeting, let not the world mourn.  Until a
few minutes ago I still thought that I might, but I have to write a
brief that is due tomorrow, and I still haven't started it.  I will
see you, God willing, at the next in-person meeting, which will
probably be on the 2nd Sunday of January.

When I do see you next, which shall most likely be next month, I shall
bring two laptops on which two operating systems have been installed
that are descended from OpenSolaris.  One of them is the newest
version of OpenIndiana.  The other one is an old version (I don't
think there are any new versions) of OpenSXCE, which is descended from
OpenSolaris but is not descended from Illumos.  Its command language
and package manager are the command language and package manager of
Solaris 10, not Solaris 11.
