[UFO Chicago] Refurbished laptops -- thoughts?

I've had decent luck with Dell refurb gear in the past.
If you are looking at laptops, do not get the consumer-grade ("Inspiron") stuff--it's almost all junk. The Business line "Latitude", on the other hand, has been quite good. The parts are standard, and generally very well supported under non-Windows operating systems. My experiences with HP laptops (business class only), has been mixed. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
