What caused me to notice it was their rate card -- they actually do
explicitly list which equipment is considered "approved" by them.  I
haven't gone through the step yet of costing it out, but I'm considering
it, depending upon how much a modem costs.

I guess my concern is that Comcast has never treated me anything like a
customer, rather a way to use/abuse their monopoly to get my money.
