An acquaintance is trying to raise money by selling some equipment and
has asked me to announce the availability of a used Hewlett-Packard
computer.

Here is the information from /proc/cpuinfo:

 Intel Pentium 4
 3001.399 MHz
 cache size 2048 kB
 bogomips 6014.33


and from /proc/meminfo:

 MemTotal: 1034856 kB


and from /proc/partitions:

So, in the vernacular, we would say, 1 Gig of memory, and an 80-Gig
disk.


The computer has all the normal I/O ports, including a
DVD-Writer/CD-Writer, and several USB ports, plus four ports that I
have never seen before.  They are labled as follows:


 SmartMedia                       MMC/SD
 CompactFlash            MemoryStick/PRO


The computer currently has some sort of Microsoft operating system
installed on its disk, I forget which version, but you can have Linux,
Solaris, or FreeBSD installed free of charge if you buy the computer.
