May I suggest running something simply like cygwin ssh, but doing it
through
a windows text window replacement like the one
http://sourceforge.net/projects/console/? Other benefits include
tabs,
proper (or closer to it) cut and paste behavior, and larger buffers.
It even
has transparency if you're interested in such things.
