One of the follow-ups I was to post to the list involved a software KVM. 
As it turns out, I was mistaken:  it is a software KM --the V is not
supported, which I believe was the original need.

Having said that, I have on older (and big) Dell CRT (with video cable) I
would be willing to donate to SchachterLabs (tm).  We can work out a
drop-off time and place off-list as my pitiful Subaru wagon is sadly once
again driveable.  It's too heavy to take on the CTA and is actually a
decent display.
