Come to think of it. I know of a place that might work.

It's at Lawrence and the river. Here's a google map thing

That circular bit on the west side of the river is one
of the shaft heads for the deep tunnel project. The structure
on the east side is a neoclassical industrial type building
that used to serve as a dumping station but after the tunnel
opened got turned into an aeration plant. So the area has total
geek potential.

I also have been there several times after "closing" and have
found that it's not an easy place for cops to roll their squad
cars into so the curfew doesn't get enforced.

Atop the shaft head would be a good place to set up a grill, or
possibly a little to the north if the traffic from Lawrence is too
noisy.
