Some of us have recently been discussing off-list
a variety of alternatives to cable/DSL for
receiving broadband connections, including
cellular-overlay WANs and community WiFi. Since
the topic will likely come up at the meeting
Thursday, here are some links to a few recent
related articles. There's also a link to an
off-topic article about tritium in the water that
some will find interesting.

The articles are free to view at the time I'm
sending this, but uou may need to register or log
in. Also, these articles (except for the Mossberg
column) have a limited half-life and will expire
or require payment in the near future.
