A lot of big companies, esp. financial institutions, block any personal
email sites through a combination of black-lists & proxies.  The obvious
sites (Yahoo, Gmail, hotmail) are blocked, and then if they see something
that *looks* like mail (e.g. I had a squirrelmail install on my DynDNS
account) it would be blocked too.
