Hello all,

The Youth Community Technology Program (YCTP) http://www.yctp.org at
Korean American Community Services (KACS) http://www.kacschgo.org, is
looking for 2 people to join a group of "Tech Mentors" for the young
people enrolled in our program. Join the illustrious ranks of mentors
like Mike McCune, Johnathan Kupferer, Matthew Brent, Jim Craner and Dave
Kretz, as we head into our fourth cohort of students!

The Youth Community Technology Program offers a free A+ certification
program for at risk youth. Young people enrolled in the program learn
how to build and maintain computers, gain valuable experience through
internships in area non profits, and benefit from the experience and
companionship of people from the IT industry. In addition to the
technical portion of the program, the YCTP offers education assistance,
one on one counseling and social service referrals, soft skills
workshops, as well as job and education placement assistance.

Mentors work side by side with young people and YCTP staff on topics
like goal setting, social networking, job hunting, interview skills and
more. As a mentor you will have a chance to make a difference; a
connection that you make, a reference you give, or encouragement that
you share could change someone's life forever.

All meetings take place on Saturday's from 11:00-2:00 P.M at Korean
American Community Services.

Meeting dates are:

September 20th
October 4th
October 18th
November 1st
November 15th

Mentors must be willing to provide information for a background check.

For more information please contact John Stanton at stanton at kacschgo.org

Thanks!

John
