[UFO Chicago] everything in moderation

Hi all,

In response to today's antics, I'd just like to say that one, I was
not reading the list this afternoon in order to have done any
moderation, but two, I probably woulnd't have moderated it because I
thought it was quite apparently a troll, or an act, or whatever you
want to call it, and because Nick and Emad are my friends and were
trying to be funny. And succeeding even, most of the time.

Also, UFO is a generally low-traffic enough list that the occaisional
goofing off I find more in the spirit of UFO anyway; we're more a geek
social group than a LUG per se, and I don't personally feel the need
to divide the list into social/technical/announcement type flavors. 

At any rate, I'm sure that neither Nick nor Emad intended to make
anyone angry or frustrated, or for that matter, make them unsubscribe
or even sully the fine, upstanding name of UFO Chicago.

But I hope that if anyone was really irritated, they will stick around
and not be too put off. (Or is that "off-put"?)

Anyway, I think everything's settled back down to normal.
