This is (probably) (somewhat) offtopic, but I was wondering about the
computing situation in Chicago schools. Of course in my day we got along just
fine without any, but I suppose nowadays the kids need computers and software
for reports, research, educational apps.. probably the staff needs them for
d/l pr0n and so forth.

Given as how the tax base around here is sizeable, I'd think the schools
aren't lacking in this area and must afford the M$ tax and cutting edge
hardware needed to run M$ s/w. But you never know, school districts are
perpetually whining about lack of funds and how kids have to crowd into a
shack built for two for their lessons.

How is it around here then? Any idea? Some of you must've gone to school in
these parts? The idea being to enquire whether or not the schools have a
requirement (possibly unknown to themselves) to move to Linux and need any
help for this. Hook 'em early, that's what I say.
