Does Jordan know that this is a previously-solved problem?  I haven't got
the URL handy now, but it was one of the projects that won a tiny embedded
board to spur their work along.

I know someone who has one of these abominations, so gutting one for any
reason seems like a perfectly sensible thing to do.  ;-)
