Perhaps we can take some time and discuss ways to get media attention.
Perhaps focusing on alternative media sources (New City, The Reader)
first. Anyone with the proper skills should begin crafting a strong
press release. Here is a link to a list of chicago media sources.

We should also seek 'unusual' sources to get our message out. When the
next protest/rally/etc. is organized, we should contact
http://www.chicagofun.org/ While what we are doing isn't exactly 'fun'
(although I had a pretty good time today) this newsletter reaches a wide
chicago audience and may draw in some extra bodies for the
protest/rally/etc.

I don't think we should pester the press, maybe dividing up the
different media outlets among a few people for them to try to find a
sympathetic ear. Of course having a coherent message to tell the media
is most important. What is the 'news'?

Something else to consider is getting ahold of the AP bureau here in
Chicago. AP reporters write those tiny stories that go on the
newswire. If we can coordinate the protest with an EFF press release,
we can give the papers a 'local' angle.
