Note that Ameritech's upload speed leaves much to be desired. Will it be
enough to run your server?
As for the downtime, the last time I spoke to a DirecTelocity rep, they said
that Rhythms is shutting down
their network piece-by-piece. My place of summer-work (which had
DirecTelocity) started having connectivity
problems and the tech support guy indiciated that it will "get worse before
it gets better."
